WITHOUT DUE PROCESS

ICE needs to be shut down until the legal ramifications of what they’re doing is reviewed!

Donald Trump has defied our Constitution continuously, and without any legal right to do so. Our constitution guarantees due process of the law regardless of who you are. It’s covered under the Bill Of Rights. If you do a search and ask if EVERYONE is covered you will find this, “Yes, the protections outlined in the Bill of Rights, the first ten amendments to the U.S. Constitution, apply to everyone, including non-citizens, residing in the United States.” It means that EVERYONE is entitled to Due Process.

Under Donald Trump’s direction, ICE agents in black hats and black masks have grabbed people off the street, detained them, and in the middle of the night sent them to prisons in El Salvador WITHOUT due process. He claims they are foreign criminals without any proof of any wrongdoing other than his say so.

In case you haven’t gotten it yet, if this is allowed to continue he can say the same thing about ANYONE he doesn’t like for any reason, and detain them, and ship them out of the United States regardless of citizenship.

He is abusing The Alien Enemies Act of 1798. “The law has remained largely the same since its passage in 1798 and permits the president to apprehend, restrain, and remove noncitizens during a “DECLARED WAR” or if the U.S. faces an “INVASION or PREDITORY INCURSION” by another country or foreign government.” 

We are not at war, and there has been no reference to an invasion reported in the media. This is ABUSE of his power plain and simple.
